Wrap worth the unwrapping

The last job before Christmas morning deserves better than whatever the supermarket has left in mid-December. This is the finishing department — about twenty lines of wrap, ribbon and gift-wrapping bits, picked the same way Dom picks everything else, with nothing in the range over $10.

The kraft look

Kraft-based wraps lead the way — mini dots, red-and-white pom poms, thin emerald-and-gold stripes, nordic pine and the Gift of Giving prints — that brown-paper-but-better look that sits beautifully under a tree. Prefer richer colour? There’s a reindeer forest print in navy and gold, nordic pine with gold, and red-gold designs in the mix as well.

Generous rolls, honest prices

Some of the wraps come as 5m x 75cm rolls — enough to get a family’s worth of presents done without rationing the corners — and everything in the range sits between $4.95 and $9.95. A length of vintage Christmas ribbon ties the whole job together properly.

Add it to the pile

Wrap travels well, so toss a few rolls in with your bauble order and it all ships together to most of Australia (except WA & NT). Afterpay and Zip are at the checkout, and Brisbane locals can flick through the designs in person at the Archerfield showroom — free click and collect if you’d rather not wait on the courier.
